Our first episode of 2022 begins with a bit of the usual banter and catch up, before diving right into some COLD KITS and HOT KITS in discussion about a great weekend of NFL playoffs.
We couldn't begin anywhere else but first revelling in the COLD KIT of Aaron Rodgers, both literally and figuratively as he went down in the Lambeau tundra to flame out of the playoffs once again - before whining once again about how everyone was rooting against him because of his vaccine stance.
No, we're rooting against you because you're a dick, Aaron.
HOT KITS starts with a bang talking about two QB's infinitely more fun to talk about than Rodgers, in the epic duelling duo of Patrick Mahomes II and Josh Allen. A battle that neither deserved to lose, as the cliche goes - Josh Allen incredibly coming out of a loss looking more assured than ever as a star of this league. HOT KITS ALL ROUND.
We also chat a bit about the ways Mahomes has changed the game ala another HOT KIT regular, Steph Curry. Listen to the episode for more!
Next HOT KIT is the Rams who have gone with their blue jersey and yellow pants combo for the first two playoff games, to great success both as an aesthetic for the viewer, as well as a winning combo! Particular shoutouts in the HOT KITS to Matt Stafford, as well as that hot defence (hey, the best of teams allow Tom Brady comebacks - usually they don't still win). Also, special mention to the numbers - the fade has grown on us.
Not sure about the afternoon playoff game in Tampa aesthetic, though.
COLD KITS again as we talk Russell Westbrook and the incredible shade thrown at him by the Sacramento Kings PA as every bricked shot was met with a 'COLD AS ICE' - see the video below:
David also discusses the noticing of kit trends and cold kits, having noticed a distinct drop in Ben Simmons kits as well as Russell Westbrook kits on the streets in the past few months.
