It's one of the great moments in any year, when a random link pops up on the Twitters, claiming to have images showing what teams in any particular league may be looking at wearing in an an upcoming season.
We were blessed with one of these such moments leading into this weeks podcast, courtesy of SportsLogos.net story about leaked City Edition NBA kits for the 2022-23 season, as well as Classic & Statement edition jerseys.

HOT KITS - Adelaide United Pride Kits
Had to give a shoutout once again to Adelaide United, who held a league-first 'Pride Game' doubleheader with the Adelaide United Womens & Mens squads sporting a special rainbow pride numbering on their backs. With Joshua Cavallo bravely leading the discussion of normalising the conversation around LGBQT+ in sports, it was a wonderful celebration. At the time of recording, the games had not yet been played - however, both teams won - the men in added time to end the night perfectly, after the women had strongly won 3-0 and ensured finals for the first time in their history.
Portland Timbers - 2022 Heritage Rose Away
Portland have gone bold with an away kit that breaks the mould of the past few years, and breaks with the more conservative traditions of past years with an eclectic new soft pink jersey with bold rose red rose motifs. It's an incredible kit which really captures the 'Rose City' which the Timbers so dearly love, and will look striking on the field. In a league that sometimes seems a bit cookie cutter in the kit choices, 2022 seems a new dawn in teams getting more inventive.
Liverpool Home - Joel Matip #32
Just had to give Joel Matip some love for making #32 look so damn good. A mazy centre half run with a one-two with Mo Salah, then an incredible finish. Get in.
We end with some light banter which includes some commentary on Russia/Ukraine, the podcast was recorded RIGHT before Russia invaded. Obviously we understand the severity of the situation and anyone who knows us understands our deep love for the innocent people constantly being hurt by the reckless actions of those in power. We stand with Ukraine, as we do with all people and nations currently battling against oppressive forces.
